About François (Frank) Gagnon

With Pure & Applied Sciences collegiate and mechanical engineering university studies, Frank has been around vibration analysis and predictive maintenance for almost 30 years (May ‘07 will ring that anniversary bell; yes, that places Frank on the job in ‘77).

As an instructor, Frank first started proffering training back in ‘83 and moved up to the international batting plate by ‘92. He has performed dozens of sessions for the then Entek IRD (now Rockwell Automation Entek), as well as Technical Associates of Charlotte and others such as IMS.

Including Vibra-K Consultants contracts and subs for others, training sessions have reached all over Canada, the US, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, the UK, France and other areas.

In the realm of vibration analysis and condition monitoring, every industry has been served and the range of application has covered less than 1 RPM to 150,000 RPM, fractional HP to MHP applications.

Frank has long been a supporter of certification and as such, was one of the first Canadians to get Vibration Institute certified. Followed participation in ASNT Vibration Analysis committee work for examination development as well as some CMVA T&C (Training & Certification) committee presence.

“I’ve touched every imaginable application, and wouldn’t have it any other way!”
